Kolleen Bouchane

Kolleen Bouchane is the ACTION Director and has been working for more than a decade with advocates in the U.S. and around the world coordinating legislative actions and campaigns at the national and international level to influence policy and mobilize resource to fight diseases of poverty, achieve universal access to education, water, sanitation and other services necessary for the realization of economic and human rights. Kolleen previously served on REF legislative team and later as the REF Global Education Campaign Manager. During work at Freshwater Action Network and WaterAid in the United Kingdom, Kolleen coordinated the efforts of an international network of civil society advocates across Asia, Africa, Latin America and the EU to achieve the recognition of the rights to water and sanitation at the U.N. Human Rights Council. Kolleen has a BA in International Studies from Jackson School at the University of Washington and MA in Conflict, Security and Development from Kings College London.
